One of the most important Navy League missions is to inform Congress of the need for strong sea services. Navy League members are committed to supporting the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine, and volunteer their time and money to advocating for the sea services. The Navy League accomplishes this in two ways: educational events in the nation’s capital and grassroots outreach across the United States. Your dues help support activities that educate members of Congress and their staffs about sea service issues and provide opportunities for discussion and engagement.
In the field and every day, Navy Leaguers carry this same message to their Congressional representation. During district work periods, Navy Leaguers donate their personal time to brief Representatives and Senators on current sea service priorities. Make your voice heard! If you’re a Navy Leaguer or a supporter of the sea services, they need you to speak up for them on Capitol Hill. Our Voice to Congress website, available here, has a number of pre-drafted letters that you to edit and send with just a few clicks.
